McLaren’s Lando Norris secured his first Monaco Grand Prix win, leading from pole position to the checkered flag, fending off early challenges from Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. This victory narrows his gap to teammate Oscar Piastri in the Drivers’ Championship to just three points. This was the first McLaren race victory at Monaco since 2008.

Despite the introduction of a mandatory two-stop strategy aimed at enhancing overtaking opportunities, the race saw minimal on-track passes, leading to criticism from drivers and team principals. Mercedes’ George Russell, citing the circuit’s limitations and suggesting changes to the circuit.
