Charles Leclerc announced his engagement to his partner Alexandra Saint Mleux through a social media post on Sunday night.

The couple, who have been dating since early 2023, shared the news in a joint post captioned: “Mr². & Mrs. Leclerc 💍❤️❤️❤️.”
A carousel of images showed Alexandra’s dazzling oval diamond ring, flanked by a studded band, and their beloved long-haired dachshund Leo Leclerc Saint Mleux, who played a central role in the proposal.
One image featured Leo with a tag that read “Dad wants to marry you!” alongside cakes, roses and a bone-shaped treat engraved with “She said yes!”
Leclerc has been dating Saint Mleux since 2023, but seems to have popped the question over the course of last weekend sharing a series of photos on his Instagram account.
Fellow F1 drivers, Lewis Hamilton, Esteban Ocon, Carlos Sainz, to name a few, as well as F1 teams, commented on the post congratulating the Ferrari driver.
The announcement comes as the Monegasque gears up for this weekend’s Formula 1 race in Sao Paulo following his second place finish at the 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix.
Leclerc currently drives for Ferrari since the 2019 F1 season after going through Italian team’s junior driver program and making his debut with Alfa Romeo in 2018.
He has since accumulated eighth grand prix wins and 27 pole positions.
Leclerc is currently fifth in the 2025 F1 Drivers’ Championship with 210 points to his name.
