Monaco’s charity match unites motorsport and football legends on the eve of the Monaco Grand Prix at Stade Louis II
On the eve of the Monaco Grand Prix, the Stade Louis II vibrated to the rhythm of a gala match bringing together Formula 1 drivers, soccer legends and celebrities, all united in support of charitable causes.


On May 21, 2025, Monaco’s Stade Louis II hosted the inaugural Racing Stars Football Cup, a charity football match that brought together Formula 1 drivers, football legends, and celebrities. Organized by Louis Ducruet, President of the Barbagiuans of Monaco, the event aimed to raise funds for the Jules Bianchi Association and Be Safe Monaco, promoting road safety awareness.

The second cause Be Safe Monaco, founded by Camille Gottlieb, which aims to raise awareness around the dangers of drinking and driving. Camille Gottlieb emphasized the importance of the event for her cause: « Having personalities from the motorsport world involved clearly helps us amplify our message. »
That’s also what the Barbagiuans are about! I think it’s important to innovate and welcome other elite athletes into our team. It’s a step in line with our growth strategy.

The match featured notable figures such as Prince Albert II, Princess Stéphanie, Charles Leclerc, and two-time F1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen, who served as the event’s ambassador. The Barbagiuans team, comprising former footballers and celebrities, faced off against the Nazionale Piloti, a team of current and former F1 drivers including Pierre Gasly, Carlos Sainz, and Isack Hadjar.
In a spirited game, the Barbagiuans triumphed with a 6–4 victory, highlighted by a hat-trick from Javier Ernesto Chevanton. Over 3,000 spectators attended the event, celebrating the fusion of sportsmanship and philanthropy.
