DESCRIPTION:78th Cannes Film Festival – Event \nThe 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival returns May 13- 24\, showcasing 22 films in competition for the prestigious Palme d’Or\, including works by Wes Anderson\, Julia Ducournau\, and Jafar Panahi. \nHighlights include an honorary Palme d’Or for Robert De Niro and premieres of major films like Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. \nAlongside the competition\, the festival hosts world-class panels\, networking events\, and public beach screenings\, continuing its legacy as the global epicenter of cinema. \nMembers of the public are welcome to join the beach screenings. The Cinéma de la Plage offers free\, open-air film screenings each evening at 9:30 PM on Macé Beach\, opposite the Majestic hotel. These screenings are open to all\, but seating is limited and available on a first-come\, first-served basis.
