Built in the Anglo-Norman style\, it is surrounded by a garden that would forever mark him\, and whose design he helped to create alongside his mother\, Madeleine. This close connection with nature\, plants\, and flowers would influence him once he became a couturier\, creating in 1947 the “flower-woman” silhouette\, inseparable from the New Look.
