SUMMARY:Monaco Celebrates National Day on November 19
DESCRIPTION:🇲🇨 The Monegasque National Day\, also known as Sovereign Prince’s Day or La Fête du Prince\, is one of Monaco’s most important holidays\, celebrated every November 19 – this year falling on a Tuesday. It’s an official public holiday honoring the reigning Prince and the Principality. \nThe tradition ties the date to the Prince’s patron saint\, though Prince Rainier III chose his enthronement date\, November 19\, which coincides with Saint Rainier of Arezzo. His son\, Prince Albert II\, continues the custom in tribute. \nIn the weeks leading up to the celebration\, Monaco turns red and white\, with flags and decorations covering streets\, buildings\, and balconies. \n🎆 Festivities include: \nFireworks at Port Hercule on the evening of November 18\nA special Mass at Monaco Cathedral attended by the Princely Family\nA military parade at the Prince’s Palace Square\nCity-wide celebrations filled with music\, flags\, and joy\nA funfair at Port Hercule\, open throughout the holiday \nOn the evening of the 18th\, spectacular fireworks light up Port Hercule\, marking a moment of sharing and unity for Monegasques and visitors alike. \nOn the 19th\, celebrations begin with Mass at Monaco Cathedral\, attended by Prince Albert II and the Princely Family\, followed by a military parade on the Place du Palais. \nThe funfair in Port Hercule will also be open on the National day. \nThe day is a proud display of Monegasque unity\, tradition\, and loyalty to the Sovereign Prince.

SUMMARY:Opera de Monte-Carlo Showcases "Aida"\, Nov 20
DESCRIPTION:Opera de Monte-Carlo presents Aida by Giuseppe Verdi with the Choir of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra on Sunday 16 November 2025 at 3 pm in the Grimaldi Forum Monaco. \nSunday 16 November 2025 – 15h\nThursday 20 November 2025 – 20h\nSaturday 22 November 2025 – 20h \nSalle des Princes – Grimaldi Forum Monaco \nTickets starting at 40€ \n\n\n\n\n\n\nMelodramma in four acts\nMusic by Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901)\nLibretto by Antonio Ghislanzoni\, based on a scenario by François Auguste Ferdinand Mariette reworked by Camille du Locle\nPremiere: Cairo\, Khedival Opera House\, 24 december 1871 \nProduction of the Rome Opera House \nSet in a pseudo-historic vision of Ancient Egypt\, Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida depicts a dramatic clash between Aida and Amneris\, haughty princesses battling for the valiant warrior Radames’s love. Aida had been commissioned for the inauguration of the Suez Canal\, hence its reputation for cinemascopic dimensions – elephants included. The first Monaco performance in 1884 had to suffer cuts in the mass scenes due to the size of the Salle Garnier. In 2025\, this poses problems no longer since Davide Livermore and his team can work in the expanse of the Grimaldi Forum where they have already proven an amazing creativity in using modern technology for breathtaking scenery. \nAt closer examination\, however\, her numerous arias\, duets and trios reveal Aida’s intimate chamber musical side\, which dominates most of the opera’s acts. Verdi’s writing for the voice and the colourful orchestral part are at their best when depicting what were often called “female weapons”: charm and seduction\, slander\, deception\, and – once defeated – self-destruction and ruining of the cherished object. In such situations\, beautiful and refined singing counts. Enjoy a stellar cast\, which shows you both sides of this magnificent opera: its grandeur\, and its fragility! \nConductor | Massimo Zanetti\nDirector | Davide Livermore\nSets | Giò Forma\nCostumes | Gianluca Falaschi\nLighting design | Antonio Castro\nVideos | D-Wok\nChoirmaster | Stefano Visconti\nThe King | Antonio Di Matteo\nAmneris | Marie-Nicole Lemieux\nAida | Anna Pirozzi\nRadamès | Arsen Soghomonyan\nRamfis | Erwin Schrott\nAmonasro | Artur Rucinski\nVoice of the Priestess | Galia Bakalov\nA messenger | Vincenzo di Nocera \n\n\n\n\n\n\nNovember 20 @ 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm\nStarting at €40
