On Monday, September 15, H.S.H. Princess Charlene welcomed representatives of the Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) to the Prince’s Palace for a special double check presentation in support of two causes close to her heart.
€60,235 was donated to the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, raised during the Sunday evenings of the 2024 and 2025 Monaco Grand Prix at Jimmy’z. These funds will support vital drowning prevention programs in Bangladesh, where nearly 19,000 people – including 14,000 children – tragically lose their lives each year.
Since 2017, the Foundation has been working with the Center for Injury Prevention and Research – Bangladesh (CIPRB) and, since 2021, with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) to save lives.
€8,500 was donated to the Monaco Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA), thanks to an internal fundraising initiative by SBM staff, to help care for animals waiting for a home.

In the presence of Mr. Gareth Wittstock, Secretary General of the Foundation, and Mr. Stéphane Valeri, Deputy President of SBM, Ms. Sophie Vincent, HR Director of SBM; Mr. Frédéric Darnet, Director of the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort; and Mr. Antonio Ierone, Manager of Jimmy’z., this event highlighted the power of community, partnership, and generosity.
Many thanks to SBM for its continued commitment to the Princess Charlene Foundation and the Monaco SPA.
