Glamour for the greater good: ‘Save the Rainforest Gala’ to shine in Monte-Carlo

Elegance will meet environmental action on 17th May as the Borneo Wildlife Preservation hosts its much-anticipated Save the Rainforest charity gala — the evening is a vital contribution to the survival of the endangered Bornean pygmy elephants and the protection of the world’s most threatened ecosystems.

The Borneo Wildlife gala hopes to bring awareness to other rainforests and animals in threat including, African Rhino’s and wild mountain gorillas of Virunga National Park, Congo.

“This is more than a gala,” says Katerina Pirelli-Zucchetta Founder and President “It’s a movement — one where glamour meets purpose, and where every guest has the chance to make a real, lasting difference.”

The evening kicks off at 7pm in the Fairmont Monte-Carlo Salle d’Or Ballroom, with guests welcomed by a Premier Cru Champagne aperitif, followed by a gourmet three-course dinner paired with exquisite international wines.

Guests will also enjoy an exciting charity auction, with all proceeds going directly to conservation efforts across the globe — from rainforest restoration in Malaysia to wildlife sanctuaries in South Africa and Congo.
