The Pelagos Consortium aims to enhance the effectiveness of the Pelagos Sanctuary, a marine protected area established to safeguard marine mammals in the Mediterranean. By fostering collaboration among various stakeholders, the Consortium seeks to implement comprehensive conservation strategies that address the challenges facing cetacean populations in the region.

This initiative underscores the importance of collective action in marine conservation and highlights the role of international cooperation in protecting biodiversity. The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation continues to play a leading role in promoting sustainable practices and environmental stewardship through such collaborative efforts.
