Olivier Wenden, who has led the Prince Albert II Foundation since 2014, takes over as Director of the Princely Cabinet on March 2, succeeding Christophe Steiner.
There is a change at the Prince’s Palace. Olivier Wenden will take up his duties as Director of the Prince’s Cabinet on Monday, March 2, 2026. He will succeed Christophe Steiner, who has held the position since September 4, 2023.
A well-known figure in the Principality, Olivier Wenden is currently Vice-President and Managing Director of the Prince Albert II Foundation. Before joining the institution in 2014, he held several positions of responsibility within the National Council and the Department of External Relations and Cooperation. He’s respected for his work building up the Foundation and bringing it greater visibility on the global stage.
In an official statement, the Palace emphasizes that within the Foundation, he has “made a decisive contribution to expanding its international reach and strengthening its strategic positioning.”
The statement also commends Christophe Steiner’s work as head of the Prince’s Cabinet. The Sovereign Prince expressed his “sincere appreciation” for Steiner’s leadership, his “deep and warm gratitude” for having served in this role “during a particularly demanding period for the institutions of the Principality.” He highlights “his sense of duty, his loyalty, and his unwavering commitment,” emphasizing that he led the Cabinet’s work “with rigor and discernment.”
The transition marks a new chapter for the Princely Cabinet, as Olivier Wenden prepares to take up his duties at the heart of the Principality’s institutional life.
