Key Diplomatic Milestones of 2025
- Environmental Leadership: The hosting of the Blue Economy and Finance Forum (BEFF) in June 2025 was a standout success, raising €8.7 billion in financial commitments for ocean protection.
- Historic State Visit: Monaco welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron for a rare two-day state visit in June—the first of its kind since 1984—reaffirming the “common destiny” shared between the two neighbors.
- Global Expansion: The Principality established new diplomatic relations with Micronesia, Singapore, and Trinidad and Tobago, bringing its total diplomatic network to 165 countries.
