The 11th annual St Tropez to Monaco Charity bike ride in aid of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and My Name’5 Doddie Foundation
The Principality witnessed a powerful show of unity and compassion as Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene joined over 100 cyclists for the 11th edition of the Champagne & Oyster Cycling Club (COCC) Ride on Sunday, April 27. The charity event saw riders tackle the 140 km journey from Saint-Tropez to Monaco raising funds for the Princess Charlene Foundation and the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation..

As cyclists approached the final stretch, Prince Albert II joined the peloton in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, riding alongside participants into Monaco. His presence, alongside Princess Charlene, highlighted their personal dedication to the event’s commitment to sport and solidarity.
This year’s edition carried an emotional tone, marked by a heartfelt tribute to Eddie Jordan — a longtime supporter of the COCC Ride — whose absence was keenly felt. Speeches at the finish line reflected the deep bonds and sense of community that define the event.
The COCC was established in 2011 by seven friends with a passion for cycling. The club has grown over the years, and the annual fundraising bike ride from St. Tropez to Monaco now attracts support from celebrities and international personalities.
“Anyone who sees what the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation does should be willing to support,” said COCC co-founder Damian Crean.
“It’s more than just a ride — it’s about coming together for causes that change lives,” said one event organiser. “Whether you cycle, cheer, or simply celebrate, your support makes a real difference.”
The bike ride has grown into a signature Monegasque occasion that blends sport, elegance, and generosity. The festivities culminated in a spirited street party at Slammers Pub, with hopes high for record-breaking fundraising. Organisers continue to encourage local businesses and supporters to contribute via www.coccmonaco.com, ensuring that the legacy of giving lives on.
