Monte-Carlo Fashion Week 2025 blends glamour with sustainability

The 13th edition of Monte-Carlo Fashion Week (MCFW) brought the fashion world to the heart of the Principality from April 22 to 26, celebrating style, innovation, and sustainability. Hosted by the Monegasque Chamber of Fashion (CMM), the annual event, launched in 2013 by Federica Nardoni Spinetta, once again served as a platform for both established designers and emerging talent to showcase their latest collections against the luxurious backdrop of Monaco.

Fashion shows lit up the Monaco Yacht Club on April 23, where Collini Milano opened the afternoon’s lineup, followed by a bespoke collection crafted for the Yacht Club itself. The day’s grand finale featured the 20th anniversary show of Beach & Cashmere Monaco, the label founded by Nardoni Spinetta herself.

The highlight of the week came on April 24 with the Fashion Awards, marking the 10th year of the ceremony. The evening opened with a show by Roberto Cavalli and culminated in actress Kelly Rutherford being honoured as this year’s Fashion Icon, recognized not only for her timeless style but also her commitment to socially conscious fashion.

This year’s MCFW continued to place a strong emphasis on environmental responsibility. With sustainability now central to its mission, the event spotlighted circular fashion and the need for industry-wide change. “In addition to the glamorous fashion shows, the MCFW aims to be a must-attend event for innovative and sustainable players,” said Federica Nardoni Spinetta. “We are working to build a better future for younger generations by promoting a circular economy and supporting the values that define Monaco.”

From runway to real-world impact, Monte-Carlo Fashion Week 2025 proved that high fashion and environmental integrity can walk hand in hand.
